"Come to the edge."
"We can't. We're afraid."
"Come to the edge."
"We can't. We will fall!"
"Come to the edge."
And they came.
And he pushed them.
And they flew.
written by Christopher Logue, a British poet, about Guillaume Apollinaire.

I was thinking about just quitting this blog - and only posting photos - out of guilt of not journaling "enough" or sufficiently. It's just so PUBLIC so it limits the real idea behind why I journal as time goes on and more and more folks in my personal life know about this blog.
THEN
someone I've missed here will note me
or comment
or
and i remember - it's not how often i can post, journal or how much reaction i get to either blogs or photography
it's who
it's YOU
who encourage and inspire me
thank you - every last one of you.
i am missing you and really do hope to blog more soon

You know, I'd much rather prefer the occassional deep meaningful blog than a daily purge of junk. You don't have an obligation to us, we're grateful for what you have given.

"Religion is the process of unconscious wish fulfillment, where, for certain people, if the process did not take place it would put them in self-danger of coming to mental harm, being unable to cope with the idea of a godless, purposeless life."
