when we moved into this new house with this huge country backyard - i told alex "i wish it would snow just one time for us in this backyard". that was three months ago and he's wished on every star for me to get snow. the other day, day before yesterday - it snowed. it has snowed only three times in his five years on this earth so far - this will be the second time that he would remember. i woke up and RAN to his room "Alex, Alex - our wish came true - it's SNOWING" and he jumped out of bed like Santa was in his room! i let him go late to school and myself be late to work - so we could play in the snow that i knew would melt by noon. this was my favorite shot - THESE are the moments you capture, remember and feel blessed to experience

This is a WONDERFUL shot :) We rarely get snow here in Bama but we got about 1/2" but no photo ops because it ended up being a muddy mess :(

here in northern italy snow is a pretty common sight, in Milano it snows 4/5 times a year and if you get a little norther you have snow around for most part of the winter.

but every time it snows it's almost magic, the city freezes to a halt and everyone look happier :nod:
i remember a couple of years ago, it snowed pretty hard the week before christmas, like 10 inches in a afternoon, even "working girls" ;) outside, in the freezing cold, were all giddy and having fun with the snow... it was a weird sight :nod:

(at least until the novelty of snow wears out, then people start swearing at the traffic ;))
