I walked home from school from the time I was ten years old and sometimes it would take nearly an hour. We never lived close to school. It wasn't so bad when the weather was pretty. I only knew one other girl that had to walk as far home in the fourth grade. Losana Wong, the only girl in school I talked to. very nice crop. bright and high key. i think i'd change the direction of light though. it seems to be coming slightly from above the camera to the far left of the frame. this washes out her cheek closest to the camera a bit and makes it very bright in contrast with the rest of her face. it also casts shadows into the lines of her cheeks. to make more natural and slightly more flattering light, align the light source with the front of her face. so, it would be to the right of the frame instead of the left. this would fill in the shadows a bit more on the front of her face, as well as providing nice contouring to the side of her face.

Beautiful smile! but what gets me most in this piece is her eyes. you couldn't see them in the other dev. Truly mesmerizing dev, and captivating model.

this i ssuch a beautiful portrait and really makes me smile to look at it. she has such perfect teeth!! the expression looks so genuine too, which you often dont find in staged portraits. i love the wya her hair drops round to frame her face, but then is dragged round on the one side. it looks so care-free. the one thing that acts as a contrast to this, and the title, is the darkness around her screen right eye - there is something sinister, maybe thats the wrong word, but there is soemthing hidden there - soemthing beneath the skin. the lighting i s fantastic and looks so natural - it really brings out her smile nicely
