its an amazing powerful bond - for some good - for some haunting. every last one of us has pieces of our mother in us, even if we never knew her. some of us have more of our mothers in us than others. some of us cherish that. some of us resist that. some of us wonder how its possible we came from where nature tells us we did - and some women in particular wake up late in life and realize just how much of their mother lives in them they never realized

The contrasting clothing is great... similar to your other photo of the two girls. The facial expressions, the location your chose, and the leaves on the ground are all pluses as well.

I love that Danielle is looking at the camera, with that haunting expression, and that the mother's face is cropped and she is looking off to the side. You can't inspect properly to see if she is in fact a mirror of her mother, but you take her word for it and that's even better.
I love this one, maybe better than the first one, maybe just in a different way.

I was just looking through my grandmother's old photoalbums and the pictures of my mom as a child looks EXACTLY like the pictures of me as a child. We have the same exact facial structure, and amazingly the more I grow up the more we have the same body structure as well. Not only that, but we both got married at 18 and we married the first guy that we kissed. My mother and I are too alike. It's scary. The only thing I can think of that is very different is that while she's a people person, I'm more reclusive

I really like your photography, and I am sure you could have pulled these photos off with other models...but I have to tell you that this mother-daughter duo is what really makes this series...I can actually feel the connection between them...they are probably the best subjects I have seen you shoot yet (besides your adorable baby boy :)) This is so beautiful, and sweet, but so haunting at the same time. Your description of the mood fits perfectly!
