we went to see fireworks tonight :)

there is only one way to shoot :camera: fireworks in my opinion. that is close as you can get, flash off, auto focus, and just watch through the lense and go go go.....truly some of the most fun i've ever had with the :camera:

this is straight out of the camera - all of them will be. one layer soft light blend at around 30% with the tiniest bit of levels on the dark side. you can still see colored smoke, the over exposed parts are obviouis the center of the pyrotechnics and the movement causes the colored fire blurs

i didn't know what category to put these in so i chose abstract - b/c by shooting w/out flash and with themovement, it becomes abstract versions of the fireworks to me.

i see fiery colorful white electric fish with colorful fiery tales swimming through a sea of black ocean :nod:

one of many i'll post i'm sure :)

i think turning the flash off so you get the abstract of the light movement is way cooler than a photograph of what the eye saw :)

I've never been able to capture fireworks properly, but your shot here makes it seem so easy.
