i'll have to admit, at first i didn't like it. too simple, or maybe uncomfortably clean...and boring. but after i read your description, i looked at it again. your symbolism really intrigues me. it's perfect in this shot. the uncertainty she's leaving behind and entering are as different as the stark contrast you made with the black and white. i really like this.
images like this one make me wish i was like aleksandra - i can only imagine what she could do with images like this you know? either way - its her looking in the mirror in the bridal room but i played with it and liked the ghostly effect - besides- i think the moment b/f you walk down the aisle or look in the mirror before and realize how your life is giong to change -this big moment you've waited for - its one of the most solitary moments ever in your life - its just sooo deep and about your life - that's how i got to this
you know I can no longer think of brides without thinking of Kill Bill and violence. Very nice shot though. Well represents the situation, i guess for some marriage is like a new hope that lightens their path in the darkness
a very climatic and mysterious picture... this passage from the dark... a bit weird into unknown light... simple yet powerful.. and yes.. not a typical wedding photo but on the other hand a wdding pohoto with much more meaning and underlays that a typical wedding photo
i really love the clean lines this has, even the softness of them is striking. love how the walls are black and the entrance is a glowing white, which all brides should be able to walk into. light seems to signify joy and happiness and safety. all brides should feel that.
this is beautiful,
the concept is just great... no, greater. i love the contrast, the simplicity in it... and, the message is really clear. you can feel the pause in her walk... that last step in black, before coming to the light, to uncharted territory.
itīs a beautiful photograph.
This is beautiful. I love the fact that we can't see her face, cuz then we can't exactly see her expression and that leaves some possibility. This photo has a wonderful classic feel to it, and that makes me think that it's one of those photos that has a moral behind it... so when other brides feel alone or nervous they can sorta think about this picture and that'll show them that everyone feels that way - so it's normal - just relax.
