"leaf foot bugs" - tiny things - i noticed them through the lens while shooting macros in a meadow - they distracted me - tons of them - this one reminded me of a mother wrangling her kiddos :p

 :devilish:
mary

close up with a 200mm lens - not a true macro so much as a close up - for those that care for such clarifications ;) one day i'll blow the grand plus on a killer macro lens :)

Very nicely captured, Mary. Sharpness and color are outstanding, and the focus is spot on perfect. I don't know if a true micro lens would have delivered much better results than what your lens delivered.

thank you - i work *really hard* to focus since i sharted shooting manually all the time - i love to shoot at dusk and it's normally dark and then daylight in Texas oversaturates/over exposes so often - i'm finally getting comfortable shooting manually 90%of the time and not irritated by the time it takes to change settings

i sooo get bird watching now!

You're very welcome. I know what you mean about the sunlight in Texas. It's also bright over here in Mississippi. Sometimes, it's so bright during the summer, I feel like I'm a mile from the sun. Try a diffuser (or scrim as some photographers call them) to knock down that bright sun and diffuse the light a bit. A good diffuser will definitely open up some new opportunities for shooting closeups during the day. I use one from time to time, and it makes a huge difference. There are times when it literally saves the shot.
